For the second time, UNESCO cities of literature are hosting the Slamvision competition, an online competition for the best author's reading of a text. This year Ulyanovsk poet Danila Nozdryakov participates in Slamovidenie. We invite Ulyanovsk residents to vote for their favorite participants!

Slamvision 2020 is attended by 7 authors from the UNESCO cities of literature: Ulyanovsk, Manchester, Edinburgh, Melbourne, Quebec, Reykjavik and Tartu. Both the audience voting of site visitors is open (you need to click on the “+1” icon on the video of the author you like), and voting among the participating cities (they will give points to all participants, except for the representative of their city). The 2020 winner will be announced in November at the Prima Vista International Literary Festival in Tartu. In 2019, the winner of the Slamovision was the Utrecht-based author Babs Gons, a poet, writer, performer and theater producer.

Especially for the competition, Danila Nozdryakov recorded a video with the reading of one of his poems in the author's translation into English.

We invite Ulyanovsk residents to vote for their favorite participants! You can watch the video of Danila and other authors, as well as vote online on the contest page.
