The Voimega publishing house (Moscow) has published a collection of poems by the poet Danila Nozdryakov from Ulyanovsk “The Volga Children's Republic”. The online presentation of the book will take place on May 17.
The author received the right to publish the book following his participation in the seminars of the Moscow Writers' Union "Path to Literature" held in December 2019. Earlier, the manuscript of the "Volga Children's Republic" was awarded at the International Voloshin Competition.
For Danila, this is the debut book of poetry. As the author himself said, the idea came to him in March 2019 after writing the poem "Mishin Cosmos". It was them that opened the “Volga Children's Republic”. The author of the annotation to the collection is the famous St. Petersburg poet Dmitry Grigoriev. The book is already available for reading online in the public domain.
- Most of the texts were written over the past year using the vers libre technique. But there are also earlier works and even one cycle of poems. They are inscribed in the concept of the "Volga Children's Republic". I wanted to conduct a kind of poetic research and generalize the experience of those whose growing up happened at the end of the nineties - the beginning of the two thousand. From their own experiences to the feelings and stories of their peers. I could say that there is only truth in the book, but it was also not without invention, - said Danila Nozdryakov.

According to the poet, the book was easy and fun to create. But it was written about not the easiest times in the history of the country and man. And in the fact that the book was published in the difficult conditions of the COVID-19 pandemic, Nozdryakov also sees a certain symbolism.
Voymega Publishing House is a Moscow non-profit publishing house specializing in the publication of contemporary Russian poetry. One of the founders and editor-in-chief of the publishing house is the poet Alexander Pereverzin. For fifteen years Voimega has published about 150 books by seventy authors.
Initially, the presentation was planned to be held in Moscow, but circumstances intervened, so it will be held online. Besides Danila Nozdryakov, books by five more young authors from Moscow, Tomsk and Belgorod will be presented during the presentation. All of them have also been published in the "Pyrograph" series by the Voimega publishing house.
The presentation on the zoom platform will start on May 17 at 19.00 Moscow time (20.00 Ulyanovsk time).
Everyone is welcome!
