18th of Febuary. Literary studio "Eight". Blok and Annensky

On February 18, Ulyanovsk will host a new meeting of the "Eight" literary studio. This time everyone is invited to discuss the work of two poets of the Silver Age - Alexander Blok and Innokenty Annensky.

Kierkegaard wrote: “What is a poet? An unfortunate person who harbors longing in his heart; his mouth is arranged in such a way that the cries and groans emanating from them turn into wondrous music.
We decided to "push" Blok and Annensky as two bright representatives of the "Silver Age". At the same time, Blok is a textbook (we "passed" him at school, mainly because of his revolutionary poem "The Twelve"), but Annensky is not! His only "textbook" poem is "Among the worlds, in the twinkling of the luminaries ..."
The meeting will be held on February 18, Thursday, at 18.30, in the library number 8 in Ulyanovsk. Those who wish can also connect online via zoom.
