On September 25, at 15:00, a creative meeting with a young novelist, journalist, screenwriter from Tel Aviv (Israel) will take place in the model library No. 17 "Commonwealth" Tasha Karliuka.
Tasha Karliuka was born in Kiev, lives in Tel Aviv, and writes about a world without borders. According to Tasha's scripts, films are shot ("Felix and his Love", "BERENSHTEIN"), her prose is translated into English, Hebrew and gets into reviews by famous literary critics, performed at concerts. Tasha has the talent of an ironic and kind storyteller, uniting generations, finding meaning in the absurd and logic in the paradox.
Her book "Oceans in three-liter cans" was published at the end of April 2021 in Moscow and has already received reviews from Dina Rubina, Alexander Ilichevsky, Seva Novgorodtsev, Nikolai Alexandrov, Sergey Nikolaevich, editor-in-chief of the magazine "Snob" and others. This is a collection of stories about all of us – imperfect, sometimes ridiculous, doubting everything; about love for people like us - selfless, forgiving; this is a collection about xenophobia and tolerance, about dreams and reality, about men and women, about children and their parents.
Therefore, the topic of Tasha's creative meeting with the readers of the model library No. 17 "Commonwealth" will be such simple and at the same time ambiguous topics: love and loneliness, friendship and betrayal, tolerance and racism.
We invite everyone, registration is required https://forms.gle/bBYY9XxL7w86evcEA
The project is implemented by the Centralized Library System and the program "Ulyanovsk – UNESCO Literary City" with the support of the presidential grants competition, the Administration of the City of Ulyanovsk and the Department of Culture and Leisure of the Population of the Administration of the city of Ulyanovsk.
