Litmanagement school: learn for free
11.06.2020

The School of Writing "Writing on the Roof" will conduct a free online course on literary management. Authors and publishers are welcome. Participation is free.

School of Writing "Writing on the Roof" together with the publishing service Ridero, the magazine "Questions of Literature", the National Fund for Support of Copyright Holders invites authors and publishers to the course of the school of literary management "Your PR-manager Valery Bryusov".

Why Bryusov? The famous poet and writer was also a highly successful literary manager of his time. This began with the Russian Symbolists collections, where Bryusov published his own poems under false names in order to give the impression that there was a Symbolist movement in Russia. So he achieved the effect of mass character. Actually, he saw his mission in this - to be a distributor, about which he even wrote to Paul Verlaine. And it all ended with the creation of the first institute for writers - the Higher Literary and Art Institute (VLHI).

Activities in the literary space increasingly require management skills from industry participants. A literary project manager is not an agent, not an editor, not a publisher. It comes into play at the stage when the author moves out of the literary process into the socio-economic one. "Bryusovs" are not enough today.

So what is a literary manager today? How to understand what is interesting to the audience? What modern opportunities for promoting literary projects exist? And, finally, where to get funds for the development of the project? All this will be discussed in the classroom as part of the new course "Your PR-manager Valery Bryusov."

Classes will be held on Thursdays - June 11, 18, 25 and July 2, beginning at 16:00 Moscow time. Participation is free, registration is required via the link.

Participants: Tatyana Stoyanova (“Editorial staff of Elena Shubina”), Ekaterina Pisareva (“MyBook”), Alexey Kulakov (product director of the publishing service “Ridero”, Egor Mostovshchikov (“My friend, you are a transformer”), Evgenia Vlasenko (blogger, marketer ), Yana Semyoshkina (blogger).
