
For the fourth time, the Frankfurt Book Fair, represented by its representative office, the Center for German Books in Moscow, and the Garage Museum of Contemporary Art, are organizing a publishing school for book industry professionals and anyone interested in the achievements and developments of the international book industry. This year the school will be held from 1 to 3 June in video format. The book fair itself in Frankfurt will be held offline in October.

School Speakers
Jürgen Boos has been director of the Frankfurt Book Fair since 2005. In the 1980s Studied publishing at the Herder Verlag publishing house, studied marketing and organization theory. He worked as a manager in the publishing houses Droemer Knaur, Karl Hanser, Springer Science and Business Media (now Springer Nature), as well as in John Wiley and Sons. Y. Boos is the President of the Society for the Promotion of Literature from Africa, Asia and Latin America LITPROM and leads the FKL's literacy campaign LitCam. November 20, 2013 was awarded the Austrian Cross of Honor "For Science and Art". In January 2017, Jürgen Boos received an Honorary Doctor of Science degree from the Tbilisi State University. Yana Revedin is an architect and writer born in Konstanz, Germany. She studied architecture in Buenos Aires, Princeton and Milan, defended her doctoral dissertation, and is currently a professor in architecture and urban planning at the University of Architecture (IUAV) in Venice. In 1996 she opened her architectural office in Venice and then in Austria. She has taught in Germany and Sweden. Since 2016 - Professor at the Paris School of Architecture, UNESCO delegate to the Commission for Education and Science of the International Union of Architects. Author of monographs on the theory of architecture, specializing in sustainable architecture and urban planning and their origins in the Bauhaus reform movement. In 2014 she became a Chevalier of the Legion of Honor of France in the field of arts, in 2016 and 2017. was awarded the medals of the French Academy of Architecture for mentoring and outstanding achievements in the development of critical discourse in architecture. Her debut biographical novel Everyone here calls me Frau Bauhaus. The Life of Ise Frank”, published in 2018 and becoming a bestseller according to SPIEGEL magazine, was nominated for the Grimme Price Film Prize, the Leipzig Book Fair Prize and the Walter Kempowski Prize for Biographical Literature in Lower Saxony.
Boris Trofimov is a graphic designer, a member of the Union of Artists, the Union of Designers of Russia, Academician of the Academy of Graphic Design, Moscow. Honorary Member of the Association of Graphic Designers of Buenos Aires, Argentina. Honorary Member of the Brno Biennale Association, Brno. Laureate of the State Prize of the Russian Federation in the field of literature and art, as well as a number of other awards. In 2018, he was awarded the medal of the Order of Merit for the Fatherland, II degree. Head of the creative workshop "Boris Trofimov" of the Institute of Business and Design. Member of the jury of professional competitions in Russia and abroad. Organizer and curator of numerous exhibitions and competitions.
Colin Lovrinovich is a digital entrepreneur with vast international experience. Passionate about disruptive technologies – and enjoys making the world more interesting. Created and sold his first social network while still in high school. Since then, Colin has been curious about new technologies and how they are changing the reality we live in. Throughout his career, he worked in large corporations, innovative start-ups, and built his own business. Karin Herber-Schlapp studied German studies, history and political science in Frankfurt am Main. From 1990 to 2018 - editor of the publishing house "S. Fischer”, was responsible for the formation of the publishing portfolio in the field of non-fiction literature “Fischer Taschenbuch”, as well as imprints “Kruger” and “Scherz”. Currently, he is an independent editor and consultant, collaborating with authors, publishers, and agencies. Since 2007 he has been a lecturer and lecturer at the Higher Media School Stuttgart, the Academy of German Media in Munich, the School of Advanced Studies for Book Publishers and Booksellers Media Campus Frankfurt, and the Frankfurt Book Fair. Since 2012 he has been a freelance lecturer at the University of Berlin. Steinbas, conducts courses in production and program management in the publishing business. Richard Stoiber trained at the Suhrkamp Verlag publishing house, then worked there as a manager for foreign rights. Studied German literature and Scandinavian studies. Since 2012 he has been Marketing Manager and Editor at Matthes & Seitz Berlin.
Matt Williams is Vice President of House of Anansi Press/Groundwood Books (Toronto), responsible for publishing. He has experience as President of the Association of Canadian Publishers. He is currently Vice Chair of the CanadaFBM2020 Industry Group, which is coordinating Canada's guest appearance at the Frankfurt Book Fair 2020.

Canada will be the guest of honor at the Frankfurt Fair 2020, which, according to its official website, will still take place and will be held this year from October 14 to 18.
