Applications open for Nanjing Writers' Residence
08.07.2020

Nanjing, China's UNESCO City of Literature, has opened the call for applications for the 2020 Writers' Residence. The organizers will select six authors from around the world to work in Nanjing in the fall (or later, depending on the pandemic situation). Residents will be paid for the road to China and back, a scholarship will be assigned. Ulyanovsk authors and translators can also apply as writers from the UNESCO City of Literature.

The program is aimed at authors from cities with strong literary traditions, predominantly writers from UNESCO Cities of Literature. Each resident will be able to work in Nanjing for a month. During his stay, activities will be organized to help you learn about the local culture, better understand the local literature, and get creative inspiration from this new experience.
