The Foundation for Socio-Economic and Intellectual Programs has opened the acceptance of applications for young authors (from 18 to 35 years old) writing in Russian to Schools of Writing in 8 federal districts of Russia. It is expected that this year the Schools will be held in July-August 2021. Travel is paid, accommodation is provided.

The non-profit organization Foundation for Socio-Economic and Intellectual Programs annually since 2018, with the support of the Federal Agency for Press and Mass Communications, has been implementing the All-Russian School of Writing Excellence project. Together with the Foundation of the School of Writing Excellence, literary magazines of Moscow and St. Petersburg are prepared and carried out in one of the regions of each federal district: “Questions of Literature”, “Friendship of Peoples”, “Star”, “Znamya”, “Moscow”, “Our Contemporary” , "Neva", "New World", "Youth".

The school for authors of the Volga Federal District, which includes the Ulyanovsk region, will be held in Ufa by the Zvezda magazine. Project participants are determined on a competitive basis. The competition is open to authors under the age of 35 with published and unpublished works written in Russian or translated into Russian. In some cases, based on the high rating of the reviewer, the age threshold of the participant may be changed.
Applications for participation in the project close 40 days before the opening of the School in the respective district. The list of School participants in the relevant district is published 30 days before the start of the School.

The participants of the Schools are waiting for literary workshops, round tables, meetings with famous authors. The results of the project are recommendations for 4 writers of each School to participate without competition in the 21st International Forum of Young Writers of Russia, CIS countries and abroad, held in October 2021, as well as recommendations for publishing their works on the pages of leading Russian literary magazines and literary collections of the Young Literature series.

The Fund pays for the travel of the project participants in each federal district (train - compartment, plane - economy) to the venue from the cities of residence and back, as well as ensuring the accommodation of the participants in the hotel for the duration of the events. The cost of tickets purchased by participants on their own is not compensated. Return and exchange of tickets purchased by the Foundation is not provided.
