On August 12, Thursday, at 18.30, a new meeting will take place in the library number 8 in the "Eight" literary studio. Topic: "Reading as a process: motives and characteristics." Everyone is welcome. You can participate both offline and online.

Moderator - poet, journalist, translator Sergei Gogin says about the topic of the meeting: “The conversation will go not so much about what we read, but why we read and how (we will not dwell on speed reading, most likely). For example, you can waste time on one book for a whole year, take it in fits, because it is necessary, important, despite the complexity. Or: a detective on the road. Reading? Undoubtedly. Is there a process? Yes. But which one? What is left as a result? Or is the process itself important here: am I reading for pleasure? "
